Students in the St. Louis Public School magnet program, one of the nation's remaining inter-district desegregation programs.

In 2006 the National Academy of Education (NAE) summarized the social science research for and against race-based desegregation that was submitted in friend of the court briefs in the recent U.S. Supreme Court case.
