The Mellon Foundation grants both Dartmouth College and Duke University $350,000 to collaborate on developing campus-wide digital information strategies. Within Dartmouth, a task force is charged with working through internal issues of governance, culture shift, and technology needs around managing digital college records and sharing scholarly research. Simultaneously, the Dartmouth Library addresses issues around open access publishing, open access policies, and digitization of library collections.
