The James Irvine Foundation in San Francisco is launching the statewide Career Pathways Trust, a $250 million competitive grants program for high schools, community colleges, and their business partners to create pathways for careers in high-need, high-growth occupational sectors. With the new resources come a new set of challenges for implementing “Linked Learning”—an approach that aligns high school curriculum with careers across the state.
